JPS issues outage for four Old Harbour communities

Four Old Harbour communities will be without electricity on March 17, the Jamaica Public Service (JPS) has announced.

In its latest advisory the power company listed Old Harbour Bay and New Harbour Village I, II and III as the areas to be impacted.

This, the company advised is necessary to facilitate standard maintenance work to ensure stability and reliability of service to its customers residing in these communities.

The outage will last for eight hours starting 1:00 am and ending 9:00 am.

In the meantime, the JPS also announced maintenance outages for the St Catherine communities of Strathmore and Commodore.

Residents on Melrose Avenue in Strathmore will be without power on March 13 between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, while the district of Commodore will experience outage on March 14 for seven hours and 30 minutes starting 8:30 am.
