In Loving Memory of Christine Madden-Anderson
Sunrise: April 12, 1974 – Sunset: January 26, 2026
With heavy yet grateful hearts, the family of Christine Madden-Anderson announces her peaceful transition from this life into eternal rest on January 26, 2026. Surrounded by the love that she so freely gave throughout her 51 years, Christine slipped away from the bonds of earthly illness into the waiting arms of her Savior Jesus Christ.
Born in Marverly, St Andrew but raised in the nurturing community of Nightingale Grove, St. Catherine, on April 12, 1974, Christine was a woman whose spirit was woven from threads of resilience, grace, and unwavering kindness. She built a life of purpose and joy in Old Harbour Glades, where her home became a sanctuary for and her family. To know Christine was to witness the quiet strength of a devoted mother; her daughter, Gabrielle Anderson, was the radiant centre of her universe, and her greatest legacy.
Christine possessed a gift for seeing the good in others and a remarkable ability to make anyone feel seen and valued. This warmth extended far beyond her family. She was a cherished colleague at W&B Hardware, Farm Store, and Enterprise, where her dedication as Manager was matched only by her camaraderie. Her faith was the bedrock of her existence, and as a beloved member of her church family, she lived her beliefs through quiet service, compassion, and an ever-present, gentle smile.
She now reunites with those who went before her, leaving to cherish her memory and the beautiful example of her life: her loving daughter, Gabrielle; her three devoted siblings; and a wide circle of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who will forever hold her laughter in their hearts. Her departure leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of countless friends, her church community, and her work colleagues, all of whom were touched by her luminous spirit.
We invite you to join us in celebrating Christine’s homegoing — a transition from her earthly sunset to a glorious, eternal sunrise. We will gather to give thanks for her life, to share in the comfort of cherished memories, and to honour a woman so deeply loved. This Thanksgiving Service will be held at Bethel Independent Baptist Church, Gutters, St. Catherine on Saturday, March 7, 2026 starting 11:00 a.m. Interment: Thetford Park Cemetery, Church Pen, St. Catherine
As we lay our beloved Christine to rest, the family humbly requests your most precious gift: your thoughts and prayers. May you hold us in the light of your compassion, asking for the Lord’s perfect strength and transcendent peace to surround and sustain us in the days ahead. Though our hearts are heavy, we find solace in knowing her spirit is free and her memory will forever bloom in the garden of our love.
