The South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA) will host a major vaccination drive this Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Old Harbour Health Centre in St. Catherine, offering free vaccines and health checks as part of the 24th Vaccination Week in the Americas (VWA).

The Old Harbour event, running from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., is one of several vaccination activities scheduled across Kingston and St. Andrew, St. Catherine, and St. Thomas from April 20 to May 9, 2026, under the theme ‘Your Decision Makes a Difference, Immunization for All.’

Residents visiting the Old Harbour Health Centre can receive vaccines including Human Papillomavirus (HPV), Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis (DPT), Diphtheria and Tetanus (DT), Inactivated Polio Vaccine (IPV), Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV), Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR), Prevnar 13, and Pneumovax. In addition, free blood pressure, blood sugar, and Body Mass Index (BMI) checks will be available.

SERHA’s Vaccination Week campaign aligns with the Pan American Health Organization’s (PAHO) disease elimination initiative, which aims to accelerate the elimination of more than 30 communicable diseases and related conditions by 2030, 11 of which are vaccine-preventable.

Other scheduled activities include:

  • April 20 to May 2, 2026 (Weekdays, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.): Glen Vincent Health Centre, Kingston 5 (walk-ins and appointments)
  • April 27 to May 9, 2026 (Daily): Comprehensive Health Centre, 55 Slipe Pen Road, Kingston 5
