Old Harbour taxi driver gunned down
He has been identified as 44-year-old Church Pen Housing Scheme resident Haroon Harper, who plies primarily the Old Harbour to Gutters route.
Following the discovery of Harper's body detectives assigned to the Old Harbour CIB have commenced a murder probe.
According to investigation the police were summoned after residents heard a loud explosion about 11:00 pm.
A search of the area found Harper's body on the roadside lying in pool of blood.
Blood sample, a single spent casing and a ganja spliff was retrieved from the scene by detectives the constabulary’s scene of crime unit.
A white Toyota Probox driven by Harper has been reportedly missing.
Investigation continues.
