FHC Credit Union assures customers of interest payment on deposit

First Heritage Cooperative (FHC) Credit Union is assuring its clients that every effort is being made to resolve a technical issue regarding interests paid on deposit accounts.

In a statement on Thursday, the FHC, which has a branch based here in Old Harbour, explained: “We note and wish to make you aware of an issue that may currently be affecting some of our members who hold deposit accounts with us.

“As is customary, FHC Credit Union pays accrued interest on deposit accounts, however, for the period ending December 31, 2022 a technical issue was encountered causing the interest not to be reflected at present.

“We wish to assure you, that our team is working to address the matter as soon as possible. Note that once resolved, all interest due will be applied accordingly; a notation indicating this payment will be reflected on your transaction record.

“The FHC team will continue to keep you, our valued members, abreast of further developments as we take steps to resolve this matter. In the interim, please feel free to contact your branch representative or our member care team for further information concerning this issue.”
