However, the police informed Old Harbour News that a Jamaica Public Service (JPS) crew is currently on location trying to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

The disruption in traffic flow started yesterday when a motorist, an elderly woman, crashed into the light pole sometime after 12 noon.

The driver was not hurt said an officer but noted that the senior citizen complained of feeling fatigued as she was driving all the way from Mandeville. The light pole was very old and already compromised the police added also.

This though forced the Old Harbour police traffic unit to divert traffic away from Goulbourn Lane, while temporarily turning Lafe Avenue and Walker’s Road into two-way lanes.

Normal operations will resume once the work is complete, however, the police are urging motorist to use alternate routes in the meantime to reduce travel time.
