The National Water Commission (NWC) is advising customers in several communities across northern Old Harbour that they will experience a temporary interruption in their water supply today, Wednesday, March 25, as crews carry out essential improvement works.

The disruption is scheduled to begin at 9:00 am and will last until 6:00 pm, affecting residents in Bannister, Red Ground, and surrounding areas. Other communities impacted include Bullet Tree, Davis District, Five Miles in Bartons, Brethren Town, and the Colbeck Housing Scheme.

According to the NWC, the nine-hour shutdown is necessary to facilitate maintenance work at the Grahams Well facility. The commission noted that the upgrades are part of ongoing efforts to improve the reliability and quality of service to customers in the region.

Residents are being urged to store an adequate supply of water to carry them through the period of disruption.

The NWC issued an apology to its valued customers for any inconvenience the disruption may cause and thanked them for their patience and understanding as the work is carried out.

Customers with questions or who wish to report issues following the restoration of service are encouraged to contact the NWC’s customer care line or visit their nearest office.
