Detectives from the St. Catherine South Division have uncovered human skeletal remains suspected to be those of Anisa Dilworth, a University of Technology (UTech) student reported missing earlier this month.

The remains were discovered on Saturday, May 17, at a beach in Portmore, St. Catherine.

Dilworth was last seen on Tuesday, May 6, and a missing person report was filed at the Papine Police Station the next day. Investigators, including specialized units of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) such as the Communications Forensics and Cybercrime Division, have been working diligently to locate her.

Authorities were alerted to the discovery around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday and responded immediately. While official identification is pending forensic confirmation, preliminary evidence suggests the remains belong to the missing student.

The JCF has assured the public that the investigation remains active, with detectives following multiple leads. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Criminal Investigations Branch at 876-929-9256, Crime Stop at 311, the National Intelligence Bureau at 811, or the nearest police station.

Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
